Babiniec is the northwesternmost peak of the Silesian Ridge in the Karkonosze Mountains — a quiet corner for hikers who prefer solitude and rock formations over crowded summits with viewing towers. This is a place where nature's raw granite shapes take center stage.

The ridge leading to Babiniec branches off northward from Mumlawski Wierch, then turns west before ending at the peak itself. Built from characteristic Karkonosze granite, the area is scattered with striking rock formations — including Owcze Skały, Ptasie Gniazda, and Skalna Brama along with a cluster of rocks below it. In summer the landscape feels wild and stony, in autumn the surrounding forests sloping down to the Kamienna Valley turn golden, and in winter snow tends to linger here longer than in busier parts of the range. It's a rewarding spot for geology enthusiasts and nature photographers alike.
