Rezi Castle is a romantic medieval ruin tucked away in the forests of the Keszthely Plateau, perched high above the Szántó Basin. It's a place for travellers who enjoy history mixed with quiet nature and sweeping views, far from the crowds around Lake Balaton.

The castle sits on a steep dolomite cliff of Meleghegy hill (418-427 m), surrounded by dense woodland and dramatic drop-offs. The atmosphere is especially evocative in autumn, when mist settles over the basin below, and in spring, when the forest comes alive with greenery. Restored between 2000 and 2012, the ruins today give a clear sense of the original layout - a double-towered gate and a central residential tower.
